Let's be honest. I am a nerd. I love assessment. I love technology. I love students being excited about both of these. And so...this week, during computer class, we tried out www.tagxedo.com. And the students LOVED it!
I had the students come up with a list of phrases or words that might motivate other students during state assessments in a few weeks. They typed these into the Tagxedo creator and were able to create some awesome word clouds with their own color choices and cloud shapes. We are just on cloud nine about the MAP assessment, here in Missouri!
Another way I use Tagxedo in the classroom is for vocabulary work! I have them type in vocabulary words that remind them of specific elements chapter books we have read together or that they have read on their own. What other ideas do you have for using Tagxedo in the classroom?
