We've all heard the phrase, "Time flies when you're having fun." But for this evening's post, I'll rephrase it to fit my current situation. "Time flies when you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off." So poetic. It's true though. I kept meaning to post some of the things I've been up to over the past week, and honestly, I just had a hard time finding time to do it. Between preparation for state assessments, Reading Night at school, TRYing to catch up on photography stuff, dealing with allergies myself and especially in my poor Claire-Bear, and preparing for Claire's third birthday party...it was a crazy week. So here I sit. Sunday night. I marked off about 1/3 of my "to do" list for the weekend and moved the rest to my "try and squeeze it into the evenings this week" list. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, on to what I really wanted to share tonight. My awesome cousin Tina shared this quote by Joyce Meyer on her Facebook today and it really got me motivated to set some goals (okay, let's be real here...to revisit some already set goals!). Here's the quote: "People who set goals without target completion dates rarely accomplish their objectives. Give yourself deadlines to accomplish your goals." ~ Joyce Meyer I've also read somewhere that you're much more likely to reach your goals if you tell someone and ask for accountability. So that's what I'm doing. Asking for accountability. Keep me accountable, people! Here's my one goal that I'm focusing on this week. Lose three pounds. So by next Sunday night, I want to lose three pounds. Anybody want to join me? Okay...ready, set, go!
